Los Angeles California 7-Eleven Store: Husband dead, wife clings to life after both are stabbed by 7-Eleven career criminal Negro shoplifter over stolen malt liquor, hot dog
A heroic husband died after coming to the aid of his wife when she was stabbed by a Negro shoplifter outside a Los Angeles 7-Eleven store where the couple worked.
The double stabbing happened Friday morning outside the convenience store after Washi Ahmed and his wife, Lagrima “Paulina” Lopez, followed the shoplifter out to the parking lot and tried to retrieve the stolen goods.
The thief lunged at Lopez and “shanked her multiple times," an LAPD source said, before stabbing Ahmed in the neck after he bravely tried to push the man off his wife.
The man had lifted a bottle of Mickey’s malt liquor and a hot dog, then left without paying, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Chilling surveillance footage provided to local network KTLA shows the beginning of the altercation.
Ahmed was taken to the hospital, where he could not be saved, and Lopez is clinging to life.
The victims were identified by neighbors and patrons of the store who said the couple were caring and well-known in the area.
"They're our people, they're our friends. They see us every single day," Michelle Brooks told KTLA, fighting back tears.
"These people greet me every morning, they greet me every night. Some nights when I don't get home until really late at night, they've walked me from the doorway to my car. This isn't just store clerks. This is our neighbors."
“I’m just at a loss of words,” said customer Kelly Seidel. “They’re the best people in the whole world, and I just can’t believe that something like this would happen,” Seidel told KTLA.
Los Angeles police, who had initially responded to a report of a robbery, have arrested a career criminal Negro in his 40s suspected of the crime.
