4 hurt in 3 shootings in Milwaukee
Milwaukee police are investigating a series of unrelated shootings Wednesday night that left four people injured.
The first of the three shootings happened just before 6 p.m. in the 4700 block of W. Burleigh St., where a 17-year-old girl was shot while standing on the corner and was able to take herself to a hospital. She is expected to survive.
At 8:40 p.m., a 23-year-old man was in a vehicle when he was shot by someone in another vehicle in the 3700 block of N. 40th St. The victim was able to take himself to a hospital. He is expected to survive.
And two people were shot, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, in the 4500 block of N. 51st Blvd. by a 23-year-old suspect who is being sought by police. The victims suffered serious injuries, police said in a news release that didn't specify the time of the shooting.
