BLACK CREDIT: Edward J. Warrior Jr. Murdered London D. Street over $90.00 Debt
A 24-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of executing another man during a dispute over a $90 debt related to a cellphone, according to a criminal complaint.
Edward J. Warrior Jr. was charged Tuesday with first-degree intentional homicide and being a felon in possession of a firearm in the shooting death of 28-year-old London D. Street.
Street was shot multiple times shortly before 7 p.m. June 15 in the 1900 block of N. 26th St., and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to the criminal complaint:
Street had a dispute over the debt and cellphone with a person named "Rell," a friend told police. On the day of the shooting, Rell confronted Street and the two had an argument in the alley. Rell's brother, known as "E" — and later identified as Warrior — also was present.
Two witnesses said Warrior was pointing a pistol at Street, who fell during the altercation. One witness said Warrior shot Street five times while he was on the ground.
Police also found two cars near the scene and linked them to Warrior and his brother, who has not been charged in connection with the shooting, according to online court records.
Warrior faces an extra gun possession charge because of his 2011 armed robbery conviction. Online state records indicate that he was released from prison in October.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Warrior, who remained at large on Tuesday.
