Just days after Sheriff Tom Dart has a meltdown after being snubbed to speak at the Democratic Convention he throws Jail officer under the bus to get himself into the news..

20 year veteran jail officer with perfect record charged with a felony for "beating" of prisoner.. Inmate refused to go into the cell and resisted officers which is now commonplace at the jail.. Officer used control strikes to get subject to comply which is taught in training.. Dart took the video to the media to pressure Alvarez to charge his officer with a felony..

Numerous sources say Dart threw a temper tantrum after lobbying hard for a speaking role at the DNC about police misconduct/reform and mental health issues.
