NAPERVILLE IL - 5 cars stolen, 30 burglarized in overnight spree by feral Negroes, cops say
A 15-year-old troubled colored boy was arrested Tuesday in connection with five car thefts and 30 car burglaries that occurred in the central part of Naperville.
The teen, a Chicago resident, was discovered behind the wheel of one of the stolen cars near Tamarack Drive and Washington Street at about 5 a.m., the same time police were "investigating a number of burglaries to motor vehicles" and reports of vehicles being stolen from outside homes in the contiguous Hobson West, Maplebrook, Olympic Terrace and West Highlands neighborhoods, Cmdr. Jason Arres said in a news release.
Police pulled the teen over, only to have him take off on foot, Arres said. He was taken into custody a short time later and charged as a juvenile with burglary, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, obstructing identification and resisting arrest.
Investigators also found a sixth stolen car in the area, which was reported taken in Chicago.
The vehicles reported stolen in Naperville were a maroon 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck; a silver 2007 Saturn Ion car; a grey 2007 Chrysler Sebring car; and a black 2016 Audi A4 luxury car. Police did not reveal what type of car the suspect was driving when arrested.
"Additionally, 30 motor vehicles had been burglarized" around the same time, Arres said. His release did not list the type of property taken or any cash value.
"The vast majority of the vehicles burglarized were unlocked, as were the stolen vehicles," Arres said. "Additionally, the stolen vehicles … all had the keys (left) inside them."
Arres reminded residents and visitors to Naperville "to lock their vehicles, to not leave valuables inside of them due to Feral Negroes, and to not leave keys in a vehicle when not in use."
Statistics show 89 percent of car burglaries last year in the city "were to unlocked vehicles," Arres said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the thefts or burglaries or who might have information about any of the crimes is asked to call Naperville police investigations unit at 630-420-6666.
